🐾 For over 50 years, Almaden Pet Salon has believed in one simple truth: 

🐾 Great grooming starts with trust. We don’t just trim nails or fluff fur—we care for your pets like they’re our own.

🐾 Because we’ve watched generations of Almaden pets (and their humans!) walk through our doors. The puppy who got his first bath here in 1972? We’re now trimming his  great great grandson’s nails.

🐾 Experience Meets Love: With groomers like Anni (33 years!) and Mike (13 years!), we blend skill with intuition. They don’t just know coats—they listen to pets.

🐾 No Quick Fixes: We’ll never rush a nervous guinea pig’s nail trim or force a matted cut. Gentle patience isn’t a luxury—it’s our rule.

🐾 Community Roots: We’re not a chain. We’re your neighbors. Almaden raised us—we’re here to give back.

MEET ANNIE V. Owner & Pet Groomer
30+ Years of Experience ----------------- Anni’s been turning scruffy pups into icons since the ’90s. -------------Specializes in dogs only because perfection takes focus. ----------------- Fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, and Tagalog, she calms nervous pet parents (and their squirmy clients) in four languages. -------------------- : ✂️ Masters poodle pom-poms, lab undercoats, and husky blowouts like it’s muscle memory. --------------------- 🍪 Secret stash of bacon-flavored treats (don’t tell Mike). ---------------- 🗣️ “Dogs don’t need small talk. Just a steady hand and a scratch behind the ears.” ------------------ Book her fast—her loyal clients (and their humans) hog her calendar. 🐾
MEET VEN V. Owner
Ven’s the quiet force behind the scenes , Anni’s partner in life, business, and all things furry since 1972. -------------- Though semi-retired, he still pops in weekly to answer calls, share decades of wisdom, and charm nervous pets (and their humans) with his calm, steady presence. ------------- Fluent in English, Tagalog, he bridges generations of Almaden families many of whom he’s watched grow up alongside their pets.
MEET MIKE F. Pet Groomer & Media Manager
For 13 years, Mike’s been Almaden’s go-to for pups others call “impossible.” ----------------- The lunging, the howling, the “I’ll-bite-your-clippers” glare , he’s seen it all. --------------- . Having Four kids at home mean he’s mastered the art of staying cool under pressure. ------------ “Difficult dogs aren’t bad they’re just misunderstood. And maybe overdue for a cookie.”

“ We have an adorable 6-month-old cocker who is nervous at groomers. It is reasonable and expected -he is only a puppy! We took him to Dang Diggity Dog organic pet grooming because they have a special pappy grooming introduction package. We waited 10 days for an appointment. They called us 2 hours after dropping him off, saying he doesn't like grooming. "Not in an aggressive way, he just wants to play with the clipper. " What!!! They recommended sedation. Then we went to Pet Smart and they said they do not spend extra time with puppies - or try. In other words, they don't have time to deal with puppies. Finally, I went to Almaden Per Salon. The owner listened to my concerns and said to bring him in the next day without sedation. The session was done in 4 hours and Duke came back home with a new haircut and groomed just like we wanted. I am so happy. Highly recommended. The care was tailored to a "ball of energy". =). ”

“ I absolutely love the Almaden Pet Salon! I had an appointment first for my dog Cara and they did such a wonderful job that I brought Mackey here today. Both of my dogs were groomed exactly how I wanted with a summertime haircut. The thing I really liked was that they have next day appointments with drop off times between 7:30 AM and 9 AM. In a few hours your pet is finished! Both of my dogs got the works: bath, haircut, nail, trim, and blow dry. My younger dog, Mackey, needed his glands expressed, and they mentioned that they really had to work on that because his glands were so full! Yuck! Lol They went above and beyond my expectations for sure! Previously, I was going to Petco. It was always hard to get an appointment there along with cancellations at the last minute. Almaden Pet Salon is a lot more user-friendly. Everyone there is super nice and it's a great environment for my dogs. I am so happy that I found this place! Highly recommend! ”
